Raising The Bar Even Higher...

Are you a glass half-full kind of person or the glass half-empty type?  No matter what you answer, one thing is certain...you apparently did not pour enough wine into your glass to begin with.   I've got a couple of remedies for that predicament...

First off, you can buy yourself this wine glass.  Then when you become annoying and somebody asks how many you've had, you can answer with a clear conscience..."I've only had ONE!".

Or, you can go to St. Louis Vintage Market Days this weekend and purchase the latest creation from Rescued Furnishings.  The husband and wife duo of Brandt & Nicole began this furniture flip with seemingly ordinary armoire.

I can assure you that it no longer is ordinary...in any sense of the word.  The vision they had in repurposing this is nothing short of brilliant.  I have repurposed a thing or two in my lifetime but I would have looked at this and thought, "...uh, paint it, hang clothes in it and put it in one of my two closetless bedrooms upstairs?"

I like their idea better. They've repurposed furniture before into bars but this one takes it over the top.  I present to you their latest creation...a wine bar complete with fridge!

They didn't sacrifice any of the spectacular details.  They added a bunch of custom touches to the interior, including lights which can change colors at the touch of a remote...

Check out the interior...

And finally, the exterior...

What did I tell you?  Extraordinary!  Remember another bar they made which I showed you awhile back?

You can see more pictures and read more about this furniture flip on the Rescued Furnishings Website.  They are based in St. Louis, Missouri and recently expanded into a larger commercial workspace.  They are also retailers of General Finishes Products and are offering DIY Classes.   You can also follow along on their activities on their Rescued Furnishings Facebook page.  Head over there and let them know you saw them on Furniture Flippin'.

Thanks so much Nicole & Brandt for sharing your amazing furniture flip!

Happy April Fool's Day everyone!  Happy Birthday to my youngest nephew Joshua.  Bye-bye teenage years!  How quickly that time flew!

See you tomorrow!
