If Only...

It was just this morning, as I was putting on my face and doing my horrible hair*, that I was wishing that our shoebox of a master bedroom was bigger.  (*I badly need a haircut.  It's been looking awful lately.  Now that I've put that out there, the threat of a haircut, it'll start behaving.)  When Triple H and I are both trying to get ready in the morning, there doesn't seem to be enough room in there.  The chair at my makeup table blocks the path to his closet.  It's a whole choreographed dance of climbing over the bed (by him) and scooting in the chair (by me).  IF, our room was bigger I'd love to have a vanity like the one that I'm showing you today.

Say hello again to Lisa of Old Soul Accents.  We last checked in with Lisa last November.  It hardly seems that long ago.  At that time she had transformed a bed.  Today's flip was a commissioned one.  The vanity had been in one family for generations.  It was now headed to a new home and it's owner wanted a new look for it.

Lisa applied "Sea Glass" Green paint from Valspar to it.  She used Antique White to accent the details.

After the painting was complete, she applied a dark wax to it.

Let's check out the finished project...

Spectacular!  I can only imagine the amount of time it took (and the steady hand) to bring all of those little details out.

You can see more of Lisa's work on her Old Soul Accents Facebook page.  She is located in Middleburg, Florida.  She loves custom orders so feel free to have her transform a piece of furniture for you if you are in her area.  Let her know you saw her on Furniture Flippin', too!

Thanks so much Lisa for sharing your stunning furniture flip!

One more flip and that'll close out this week for us.  I can't believe how fast this week is going by!  I'm not complaining.  I'm always ready for the weekend.  Perhaps this weekend I'll actually be able to make some progress of my own on the furniture that is patiently waiting in our garage.

Dear readers, don't forget to submit your flip!  I'm always looking for more wonderful furniture flips to share.  Don't be shy!  Email me the before/after pics and plenty of details.  The more details the better.  Send them to me at furnitureflippin@yahoo.com .
See you tomorrow!

  1. That's a whole lotta detail painting, but it's clear that it was all worth it!
