This Loveseat Didn't Have A Clue...

...what was in store for it.  It had spent it's entire life living by the rules.  With it's upholstery just so.  All pleats and button tufts.  One could almost imagine the sophisticated conversations that took place upon this settee.

The upholstery on it was showing it's age.  It was worn and discolored from use.  It and many other like pieces were handed down from a mother to her daughter.

Now, the daughter has a eye for incorporating fun into her decorating.  She isn't scared at all by bold colors or dramatic design and to achieve the look she wanted, she took this loveseat to her favorite upholsterer, Elly of Elly's Custom Upholstery.

Elly, upon seeing the bold fabric she chose and knowing it would be in a west facing sun room, told her, "Honey, you'll get sun fade fast!".  Undaunted, her customer replied, "That's OK!  I'll just have you do it again!".  Not one to back down from an upholstery job of any kind, Elly set to work.

Once I show you the finished loveseat, I want you to really pause and take it all in.  At first you'll be surprised by the fun daring design, but, once you catch your breath and look at the craftsmanship that went into this recovering, you will be utterly amazed.

Are you ready?  Are you SURE you are ready??

Positive?  Okay, here we go...

REMARKABLE!!!  Look at it!  How in the heck did she do that?  Look at how it lines up!  Elly always laughs it off when someone confesses to being intimidated by upholstering jobs.  Well...ELLY...THIS IS WHY!!  Not everyone can do WORK LIKE THIS.  It's just not a skill this is CRAFTSMANSHIP at it's finest.

Elly's customer has promised her more pieces to recover and we can't wait to see them!

If you would like to see more of Elly's work you can visit her at Elly's Custom Upholstery's Facebook page.  She's located in Florida, so if any of you are resident's of the Sunshine State, well...it looks like you have found your upholsterer!

Thanks Elly for letting us feature this first rate furniture flip!
