Some people have ALL THE LUCK. Like our featured flipper today. She scored two chairs at a garage sale for $1.00 each. $1.00!!! Where are these sales when I go out? I bought a box of Girl Scout Cookies last week from a yard sale, it cost me twice that and they were stale. Really people, would it hurt you to pick up the phone and asking me to tag along with you the next time you go yard sailing? I'll even drive AND buy you an iced coffee from McDonalds!!
Leone from 1 Girl 1 Brush is not only a savvy buyer but she is one smart lady, too. She has the philosophy of "why buy new when you can have something stunning and unique that's good for our planet, cost effective and a great conversation piece." I totally agree!
The two chairs she purchased were pretty solid but one did need a little bit of repair. She was up to the challenge! (Another sign of a good furniture flipper - don't be scared of repair.)
Here's what they looked like before...
That's only one chair in the picture. If it helps you to envision them, cross your eyes and you'll see two. This post is about TWO OF THEM. I swear my parents had a set of four chairs just like that. Unless they hopped a plane to Ontario, I'm pretty sure this isn't them, but it could be a relative of theirs. Don't you love the orange?
Leone set to work on them. She cleaned them up and gave them an up-to-date new look with paint and new upholstery.
Ready for the reveal?
Some people and furniture can't pull off stripes, especially if they are of the black & white variety. Others, like me (see my Facebook Profile pic) and this flip can totally rock them out.
Now that I've made the introductions, you should hop on over to 1 Girl 1 Brush and check her out for yourself. After you are done at her website, stop by the 1 Girl 1 Brush Facebook page, give her a "like" and leave her a comment.
Thanks Leone for letting us feature your furniture flip!
