There's Magic In This Makeover...

There's a LOT of us out there - my wonderful Furniture Flippin' Friends - who see beauty in all things old and worn.  We put our efforts into reviving these pieces because we enjoy it.  In doing so, we add another chapter to it's story.  Usually our reward is the beautiful piece of furniture that sits before us and the satisfaction of a job well done.  One of us though got a special thank you for her efforts in today's featured flip, she got a little bit of magic.

Deborah from Deb's "Projects" Furniture Rehab was offered a free dresser from a young lady at her church.  Deborah was stunned by the beautiful piece she was given.

Here's the before...

This old worn and tired dresser was going to a new owner...a shy little girl.  Keeping it's new owner in mind, Deb gathered up her supplies and applied three different colors of chalk paint to it.  She added a shadow effect to it by mixing up a special glaze.  New glass knobs were attached and the other original pulls were freshened up.

Once she was finished she presented it to the little girl and her mother.  What happened next will melt your heart.  This is what Deb told me...

"That sweet little girl, was so shy. The little girl whispered to her Mother, "That lady made it look magic, can she paint my doll bed?" Just blessed my heart!"

How sweet is that!  Told you!  Heart melting...

Here's this lucky dresser after it's makeover and before it went home to live in a little girl's room.

What a LUCKY dresser!  It will spend its days standing by watching a little shy girl grow up.

Of course, you KNOW Deb made over her doll bed to match.  Here it is...

So sweet!  You need to meet Deb from Deb's "Projects" Furniture Rehab.  Head on over to her Facebook page.  She's got a LOT more awesome makeovers to show you.

Thanks Deb for letting us feature your very magical furniture flip!
