There But For The Grace Of Kristin...

This is the story of me.  Yes, me.  > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Perhaps you know me.  Perhaps you are the one who no longer had room for me, so you dropped me off at Goodwill.  There they put a price on me of $40.  I once was worth more than that when I was new.  Now, I'm a tad older and worn.  I sat there at Goodwill among the discarded every day items that had also been donated.

I turn to the bookshelf across from me.  I clear my throat in preparation for what I'm about to ask, "Ahem...I'm sorry to bother you but can I ask you a question?  What the hell is that smell in here?"  I get no response.  So, I wait out my days.

Until one day she arrived.  She took one look at me and immediately saw my potential.  She felt bad for me and decided to give me a home.  I was so happy that day.  We were going to become a team.  Say hello to my benefactor Kristin Hardwick of Goodwill & Grace.

Kristin took me home, primed and then painted me.  She chose the color La Fonda Mirage by Valspar.  I think the color becomes me and I feel years younger.

Check me out now...

You can find Kristin on her blog Goodwill & Grace.  She is based in Tennessee, where she is the Resident Director of a girls dorm at a college there.  She enjoys making over furniture for her own place and to sell, although she admits that she falls in love with a lot of her flips and they become hard to part with.  Kristin is also getting ready to help a soon to be graduate of the school makeover furnishings for her own first apartment.  (Kristin - check out how I (Stephanie) helped my son furnish his apartment on the cheap last year.)

Thanks so much Kristin for rescuing this piece of furniture and for sharing your awesome furniture flip!

Dear readers, go check out Kristin's blog.  Let her know you saw her on Furniture Flippin'.  Don't forget we also accept your witty comments here on the Furniture Flippin' blog, too.
See you tomorrow!
~ Stephanie
