From Fit For A Dive to Fit For A Diva...

...okay, maybe not a dive, but you have to admit that this vanity with its worn dark finish and missing handles was lacking something.  It was in desperate need of a makeover and a little pizazz.  The lady to take on this project?  Well, that would be Cheryl from Behind The Purple Door.  And the vanity?  Well it looked like this...

Cheryl chose Annie Sloan Old White for this project.  She added some gold gilding and pearl plaster accents, along with beautiful ceramic and gold drawer jewelry.  She also added some beautiful pearl motif accents in the drawers which have been painted red and on the vanity top.

Now this vanity is GORGEOUS!  Don't take MY word for it, check it out for yourself.

Here it is...

And a close up...

What did I tell you?  Yep!  GORGEOUS!!

You can visit with Cheryl on her Behind The Purple Door Facebook Page.  She's located in Ontario.  Cheryl loves to find free and/or cheap stuff and turn them into something special.  Not only does she love the whole creative process of painting, but she gets a kick out of the art of negotiation and applies it to her purchasing and selling.  Like a lot of us furniture flippers, Cheryl admits she's always a little sad when a piece sells.  Then another one comes along.  Just like trains and buses.  There'll always be another one.

Go check out Behind The Purple Door and let Cheryl know you saw her on Furniture Flippin'.

Thanks so much Cheryl for sharing your spectacular furniture flip!
