Painted Angles & Chevron Stripes In Grand Rapids, Michigan...

I felt issuing the above warning is the only responsible thing for me to do.  The young woman I am about to introduce you to is fairly new to the furniture flippin' biz.  It is our duty as her peers to help her out, encourage her, become her fans, and take her under our wing. Those aren't orders because once you meet her you are going to want to do those things anyway.

Meet Angie from Painted Angles.   Angie recently completed a really hip re-do on a seen better days MCM dresser that she had purchased on Craigslist.

Here's what she started with...

In that state it looks kind of like a file cabinet.  But, it's not.  It was apparent to Angie that this cabinet at one time had possessed some feet but they were no longer attached or anywhere to be found.  So, Angie picked up some new ones at Lowe's and they would soon be put in their place.

Before that happened, she got busy on the dresser makeover.  I'm not going to tell you the step-by-step here, you can read all about that at Painted Angles.  Let's just say the title of this post kinda sorta gives it away.

I will show you the after picture though, you're gonna love it!

Tada...

Pretty cool!  The feet look like they were made for that piece and I love the color combo!  If I had attempted Chevron stripes on something, it would have looked like a four year old had done it.  Angie nailed it though!

Now, here's how we can all support our "Flippin' Sister".  Visit her blog, Painted Angles, go "like" her Facebook page, and finally, Angie has entered a contest being run by On-The-Town Magazine.  That is a local  Grand Rapids, Michigan based magazine and if she wins she will receive gift cards to local consignment shops.  How awesome is that?

Here's where YOU come in...you have to go to her entry and "like" the photo she submitted.  You can't "like" the post, or the album, you have to "like" the actual photo.  To do that, and to hopefully help a fellow flipper rescue an old piece of furniture, go HERE AND LIKE THE PHOTO.

Think of all the good juju you'll get in return by starting the weekend out like that!  So, go!  Get a likin'!

Thanks Angie for sharing your awesome furniture flip with us!  Keep us updated on your contest!
