From Craigslist Chair To High End Comfort

How many chairs have you passed up because you didn't like the fabric?  Perhaps it was worn, torn, or just didn't go with your decor.  Well, after you see today's furniture flip I bet you will think twice before you let one get by you again.

Judy from DIY by Design bought this chair on Craigslist for the small sum of $20.

I
It's a well built chair and Judy knew it was a steal.  She saw what it would eventually become.

This chair represents a lot of firsts.  First Craigslist purchase, first time using Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint and first reupholstering job.  I.  AM.  IN.  AWE.  You will be too, when you see the after picture.

Ready?  Here we go!

Isn't that an elegant piece of furniture?  It looks very high end and nobody, NOBODY, would guess it started as a second hand chair with flowery fabric.

This is one of my favorite furniture flips because even though it would require a lot of steps and hard work Judy didn't let that intimidate her from tackling this makeover.

Head on over to DIY by Design and let Judy take you through the project step by step.  She shows you the technique she used to transform the look of the wood and takes you all the way through the reupholstering.  Plus, her blog is amazingly calm and beautiful.  We need to add a permanent disclaimer to all of our furniture flips, because like the rest of the blogs we've featured, you will not be able to pull yourself away from her blog.  So, be prepared to stay awhile and not get anything else done the rest of the day.

Thanks Judy for letting us feature your gorgeous furniture flip!
