Make Me Pretty Again!

That's exactly what this dresser was saying to my friend Susan of Stone Creek ReDesigns And Finds...

...and that is how she looked when Susan pulled her out of her furniture hoarding pile.  The poor thing had seen better days but those days were a long time ago.  Now she was dull with uninteresting not so special worn veneer covering her oak drawers.  She gave off the appearance of being plywood.  Well, lucky for this dresser she fell into the hands of Susan.  Her misery was about to be over.

Susan custom mixed paint to come up with the prettiest shade of blue.  She applied several coats of the blue and then dry brushed the details in white.  She followed that with a couple of clear coats of wax, replaced the top two knobs with porcelain ones, and gave the remaining original ones a quick touch-up with blue & white paint.

This dresser is nothing short of elegant now.  Here she stands in all her beauty...

See!  Beautiful!  To see more pictures of this makeover check out Susan and Stone Creek ReDesigns And Finds Blog.   You can also visit them on their Facebook Page, OR if you are REALLY lucky and happen to live in their area, you can go see them in person at Deep Creek Vintage  located at 9110 Jefferson Davis Highway, Rte 1, Fredericksburg, Virginia.  Make sure you bring a truck, because once you see Stone Creek ReDesigns And Finds  in person, you won't be going home empty handed.

Thanks Susan for sharing your exceptional furniture flip!
