This is what happened when Amanda removed the seat from this chair to reupholster it. Yep! It fell apart. Not one to run from a challenge, Amanda rebuilt the chair adding wood glue and screws to ensure it would be sturdy again.
Then she painted it using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Emperor's Silk. She mixed dark wax and clear wax then applied it to the chair. For the cushion, Amanda found a beautiful remnant fabric at an outlet store and recovered it.
Let's take a look at this chair now...
What a transformation! Amanda loaded it up and took it to a craft fair. Once there, it caught the eye of a young lady who's friend tried it out and deemed it "comfortable" to which the buyer replied, "I don't even care if it is." Home it went with her where we can only assume it is now living happily ever after.
